June 6, 2011 - A New Day

"...So, where to begin?..."

4: 30 A.M. When my alarm in my cellphone rang, I was very excited on what would happen 2 hours later at that time. I took a bath, ate my breakfast, brushed my teeth, and  took in my school uniform feeling that I would be late during that day. My brother laughed at me because when I finished all the things that I should do before I leave my home and go to school, I was looking at the wall clock in my cellphone, and he asked me, "Ang aga mo ata ngayon. 5:50 pa lang eh, papasok ka ng mga 6:30 diba?" (You are so early today. It is only 5:50, you are going to school at 6:30, right?). Because at that time, I was fully dressed with my school uniform. Unlike the last two years, I was wearing my uniform a minute before I left my house. So fast forward, I said goodbye to my father, mother, my brother and my naughty nephew, Uno.

6:30 A.M. A tricycle driver dropped me by in the gate of our school. When I stepped on the ground, actually CNSHS ground, I felt nervous . I do not know if there was something that I forgot during that time that could cause me to be embarrassed anytime. So I left my bag at the front of the guidance center, where there were school bags scattered, left with rushing students to go to the flag ceremony. Of course, we sang the National Anthem, recited the Panunumpa sa Watawat ng Pilipinas, and sang the CNSHS Hymn.We had our "very excellent" physical exercise. After that, I got my bag and we had our not-actually-the-first-time to clean our room. We were already grouped since Brigada Eskwela, so we already knew the parts of our "territory" to be cleaned.

7:00 A.M. We started our Physics class. I just saw our adviser, Mrs. Jenny Ann P. Soriano, writing the class schedule. And I got shocked that we do not have recess in the morning because of lack of time in our Spanish class. So I never minded it and continued of what I should do. God, I did not know where to sit. But at least I had myself happy at the last row. Haha! Our fellow adviser discussed to us some classroom rules, some things that she dislikes and the other requirements needed in the subject she is holding at - Physics. And then, she gave us an activity module that she told us to copy in a long bond paper. (But at that time, I was afraid of myself in writing again). Imagine, I hadn't written anything in the past 2 months. On those months, I spent myself in Adobe Photoshop, played computer games, watched TV, took care of my nephew! (Haha.), and helped my parents in household chores (as always. Haha.)) So back to the scene, I got the module, started copying while my fingers were shaking. And that was the reason why my penmanship got ugly. And then we had our second class – English. I knew that our English teacher, Mrs. Mildred Atendido, was going to inspect our notebooks and other requirements in her class. And I almost forgot the index cards. I was rummaging at my bag and my classmate, Ardhie, was surprised to see me holding a very thick bunch of index cards! Haha! He was kidding me at that time that he wanted some index cards. And so it started, our English teacher explained some  information related  to English and as always, the things that she dislikes. Honestly, I enjoyed it a lot. After the English class, I was very excited to have our Spanish class, because I wanted to speak Spanish and to relate with my mother, who was a Spanish teacher decades ago. There came Mrs. Maricar Ligsa, the II-H’s former English teacher. She spoke to us like that she belonged to an “aristocratic Spanish family” (Yikes, can I use that term? Haha!) She introduced us one of the Spanish sentences such as “Yo tambien!” and “Como se dice?”. Haha. I was laughing at my classmate Ruviel, who kept on repeating and repeating “Yo tambien!” (at that later night, she posted on her Facebook account that her favourite sentence now was “Yo tambien!”. Haha!). And that Spanish class ended at 9: 25, giving us 5 minutes to eat, even though 9:00 to 9:30 is for Spanish. So I ran to the canteen and had myself eating VOICE chocolate sandwich. There came Mrs. April Mae A. Berganos, who was my former teacher in Advanced Technical Writing. She told us the meaning of Science, technology, and we even enumerated those branches of science and chemistry. And the next class, we got Mrs. Malou del Rosario. Haha. we had our activities of enumerating words that relate to India and Asian music, and we had our fun! After that, Mrs. Ligsa returned again with her Spanish book, indicating that we will check our assignment in Spanish. Haha! I was laughing and laughing again because of “Yo tambien!” by Ruviel. So we got ourselves after the class speaking in Spanish, for those other sections cannot understand what we were saying, because it was our section that Mrs. Ligsa will take at the week. So I and Erick ate our lunch in the canteen. Haha! Fried chicken was the greatest meal I had ever tasted in our canteen. (Even though we cannot go in the canteen for the freshmen and sophomores.) And after that, we had our Advanced Statistics in Research with Mrs. Eliaquim Bisa, the teacher I liked the most. We were all discussing about sets, sets, sets, and sets (Haha!), and argued about the number “1” being a prime number. So we had it as our assignment. And then we got Mrs. Benilda Orsal, the Math teacher who replaced Mrs. Rosario Javier for the meantime. And we went to have snacks after that. As always, I was introducing myself to my other classmates who are not known to me.(Believe me! Don’t ask me again if I know them last year! Haha!). So after that, we had Ma’am Evelyn Nazareno, the teacher I often see in the canteen. We had linked explanations set by our teacher and one of us would explain it and pass it to the other one. Honestly, I like that style – linked explanations. Haha! And lastly we had Mrs. Julieta Arceo, the known Math teacher. We had our test, I do not know if it was pre-Diagnostic test or what. I got tired. My eyes were irritated due to the dust that I had at my seat while answering.

So I went home safe and free from accident. I thanked God to the guidance he gave me. I thanked him because he gave me a day that gained me friends, and met new people around the campus. I was very happy at that time and I wished I could improve better myself in the following days.
